Kerf can provide LED under cabinet lights for your project. They serve a couple of purposes. Firstly, they're perfect for task lighting! Under cabinet LEDs will light up the area where you're doing all your food prep work. In addition, these LED lights are dimmable, so they can be turned down low for changing the vibe at dinner time. LEDs can be installed in other cabinets too. They're helpful for lighting up special display objects in a bookcase; you can add them to bathroom cabinets too. Technical details: We route a channel in the bottom of our cabinets so that the LED lights sit flush with the plywood. Typically the lights are hard wired to a hidden transformer and are controlled by a standard wall switch. Our standard lights are dimmable, 4 watts/350 lumens per foot, and have a 3000K "Halogen white" color value. (If you like a warmer white light temperature, you can also request 2700k.) The lights are installed flush in the bottoms of the upper cabinets and all wiring is routed through internal channels in the cabinets to maintain a clean and simple look. Cost for adding LEDs to your project is about $90/linear foot. Our fixtures are custom made by Northwest LED.
